Lyrics Art Idea

Ever since I saw My Life As Mrs. Subway Art here, I knew I wanted to do something similar (I obviously get all of my great ideas from this blog...). But I knew I didn't want to do addresses.

Since I have been wanting to do a song lyrics project, I thought a similar project might help with some of that.

Then a couple days ago I found this! Almost exactly what I want to do! I just want to do part of a song and just one board.

Since it is for Dylan and my house (obviously...) I thought it might be appropriate to put something that meant a lot to us.

I have decided on some lyrics from "The Way You Look Tonight" by Tony Bennett since that was our first dance song.

I am thinking maybe just the first verse, maybe the first two, depending on the spacing. I think I want to hang it in the downstairs bathroom.

What I want to do with that bathroom is have purple as the accent color (so this art would be purple and white (our wedding colors)).

I want to take down the full size mirror and put this art on the left above the toilet and maybe a floating shelf below it.

Then I will get a mirror like this one to go just above the sink.

The reason I want purple is so I can use all of the hand towels from the wedding that are white and purple. Genius!

That will just leave the wall behind the door to put something on or just leave blank for a couple years...

I have not at all actually started on this project and I think my craft/decorating budget is on hold since I got to decorate last weekend. But I think the total cost for the lyrics art from above wasn't too bad.  And I will look around for a mirror like the one I want since I will want to put both up at the same time.
