So totally socially unacceptable, today I asked my BMs about a bridal shower and bachelorette party.
My family has been asking me about these pre-wedding parties the last couple weeks. Since the wedding is 4 months away from today, (excited Eeee!) I figured it was time to make sure whether any of the BMs were going to throw a party or if I could let one of my family members take it on.
After a couple rounds of facebook messaging, we figured out my sister will be planning the Bridal Shower and B will plan the bachelorette party. So yay! Love my girls.
They are so awesome, three of them came over and helped me with flowers for 4 hours on Sunday. Semi-finished product:
Yay! I am super excited about them! I realize they are definitely a lot of work, but I love the look and that they won't ever fade or die :) The bigger gaps will be filled in with paper strips, so that will help with that. We unfortunately only have enough white flowers for 2 out of 6 white bouquets (not to mention my purple).
So checks completed this week:
-Flower progress!
-Sent addresses for NE bridal shower
-Figured out weekend for CO bridal shower (May 7-8)
-Getting finances in order
Checks to do between this week and next Wedding Wednesday (will keep the same if still on my to-do):
-Keep cranking out flowers!
-Buy flight for Omaha for NE shower
-Dylan needs to go pick out his tux and get measured. He already has an idea of what he wants: 3 piece charcoal gray suit, white shirts and purple ties.
-Maybe go to David's Bridal with the flower girl and her mom and pick out or at least look at dresses for her
-I need to, but am avoiding, calling to set up hair and make-up appointments
Random wedding/marriage thought of the week: I really hope we don't get bored of each other. I'm not especially worried, but I feel like getting too routine and not really connecting is the biggest thing that causes divorce. So tonight when I got home after dinner, Dylan and I went for a walk (this is like 8:30 at night mind you) with the dog, up to the 7-11 to get ice cream and walked back on the river trail. Super fun and makes me excited for summer!
Don't worry, I don't think anyone could ever get bored of you ;)
